1861 Springfield 58 cal. rifled musket. Mainly a Union weapon
It is my intention to present the story of this battle through photographs and maps, with brief descriptions and short explanations. My wish is to present a visual effect using the more notable names and places of the battle. Although historically, all the names of Union and Confederate units, commanders and engagements should be listed, it would not be possible for me to do so due to website size constraints, and I apologize for that. Please be patient while the pages download, there are a lot of pictures and information on them and it may take a few minutes for it all to load.  If all the elements do not load correctly, it may be necessary to click "refresh" to get them to show.

1863 Photos;
After the Battle
The photographs on this site were taken in August of 2002. Much work has been done by the Park Service to restore the Battlefields to their original look; brushing out, cutting trees etc.
I am endeavoring to return to Gettysburg to get new photos for this site.
Between work and Civil War Reenactments and Living History events, it is a difficult task.
